Timothy H. Phillips, 75, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at home with his devoted daughter by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born on December 19, 1949, in Shickshinny, PA, to Howard and Charlotte Wildoner Phillips.
On November 27, 1971, Tim married the love of his life, Eva Perigo, and together they shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their love and partnership were a constant source of comfort and joy, and though Eva passed away in 2022, her memory remained ever-present in Tim's heart.
Tim worked as a skilled sheet metal worker for Schweizer Aircraft, where his craftsmanship, dedication, and quiet humor earned him not only respect but also many lasting friendships. A gentle and thoughtful man, Tim found great joy in tinkering in his garage, where he could often be found fixing, creating, or simply enjoying the peace of his space. He was known for his knack for collecting treasures, each one with a story to tell.
He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and practicing archery and in his later years, he discovered a new passion for video gaming, through which he formed many unexpected and meaningful friendships.
Tim will be deeply missed by his loving daughter, Kimberly (Darren) Wilson of Corning, NY; cherished grandson, Benjamin Wilson; sisters-in-law, Lorena Morey and Jane Fitzgerald; niece, Valerie Morey-Knight; nephews, Robert and Lee Fitzgerald; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Tim was predeceased by his in-laws, Loren and Reva Perigo, and brothers-in-law, Robert Morey and Paul Fitzgerald.
A Celebration of Life will be held at location/date to be announced. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carpenter's Funeral Home in Corning.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tim's honor may be made to CareFirstNY, 3805 Meads Creek Rd, Painted Post, NY 14870, in gratitude for their kind and compassionate care. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Timothy, please visit our floral store.
