Timothy Charles "Tim" Stoughton, 57, of Hutchinson, died March 24, 2025, at his home. He was born December 28, 1967, in Hutchinson, to Charles W. and Mildred "Millie" I. (Peterson) Stoughton.
Tim graduated from Buhler High School in 1986 and attended Hutchinson Community College, studying automotive collision repair. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved to tinker. Tim was an avid lifelong learner who enjoyed reading and learning about anything and everything. His interests were many and varied from working on his Volkswagen "Bug" to props and set pieces for the Apollo 13 movie.
Tim is survived by: his children, Jake Stoughton (Chandler) of Wichita, Kayli Oborny (Trent) of Hutchinson, Kaleb Stoughton of South Hutchinson, Johnnie Stoughton of Wichita; grandchildren, Rhyder, Calloway, and Corbin Stoughton, Parker Oborny; mother, Millie Maskil (Dan) of Hutchinson; sisters, Christine Unruh (Ben) of Fredericksburg, VA, Brenda Rollins-Stoughton (Patrick Countryman) of Enid, OK; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bonnie.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Tim. He was always one of my favorite neighbors to hang out with, listening to Billy Idol while he worked on his car. He left a wonderful legacy and I wish his family my deepest condolences.
