Timothy Timmons Obituary
Tim was the General Manager & Treasurer for the radio station, WGFY, as well as a broadcast radio engineer. He served as the Treasurer of the Baxter Village HOA for many years. Prior to that he had retired from AT&T after 31 years of service. While working for AT&T, he earned his Executive Masters Degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Timmons, son Christopher Timmons, daughter-in-law Amie Timmons and two grandchildren Jack & Ava Timmons, his sister, Barbara Detrick and brother-in-law, Larry Detrick. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Timmons, Jr. Most important to Tim was his family and his beloved poodle, Bentley.
A service will be held by the family on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Palmetto Funeral Home, Fort Mill. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live streamed.
