Timothy David Walker, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at his home on February 27, 2025, at the age of 65. Born in Lake City, Florida, Tim spent his life grounded in the community of Mayo, graduating from Lafayette High School in 1977 where he was a member of the FFA String Band. He married Rhonda Revels in 1980, and they began their life together. He attained his pilots license in 1978 and worked as a crop duster for 10 years, before being elected as the Lafayette County Property Appraiser in 1987. He served the constituents of Lafayette County for 32 years. He was a member of the Orchard Community Church in Branford where he served on the Sound Team and in Guest Services. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard, often seen tending to his garden. He also enjoyed music, playing the piano, and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Walker and Jettie Ruth Walker Blue, and a grandson Riley Wimberley.
He leaves behind his loving spouse of 45 years, Rhonda Walker; their children, Davey Walker, and wife Lindsey, and Jennifer Wimberley, and husband Ross; 4 grandchildren, Kennedy, Maci, Eason, and Bryce; his brother, Scott Walker, and wife Heather, all of Mayo, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. His joy for life and dedication to family and community will be deeply missed.
The family will hold a Funeral Service to honor Tim's life on March 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at Airline Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Midway Cemetery. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
