Tina L. Hoffman, age 52, of Dennison, passed away on December 17, 2024, in her home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Twin City Hospital at Dennison on August 27, 1972. Tina was the daughter of Jerry and Marlynn (Newell) Hoffman.
Tina was a 1990 graduate of Indian Valley South High School. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. She also took great pride in her flower beds and gardening until her health no longer allowed her to work outside. Tina was also a gifted cook. She enjoyed finding new recipes to try with her family. She was especially known for her homemade potato soup. Many would also call Tina a professional shopper, a gift she passed down to her daughters. However, her greatest love was being a mom and a grandma.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Marlynn Hoffman of New Philadelphia; daughters, Alyssa (Clay) Edwards of Dennison, Ciara (Andrew Hess) Himes of Beach City, and Michaela (Trevor Sunderlin) Himes of Midvale; grandchildren, Sadie, Sylvie, and Tate; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Tina was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hoffman.
The family will greet guests on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
Memorial donations in Tina’s name may be directed to Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308 or Ronald McDonald House Charities, 10415 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44106.
