Ms. Tiny W. Neesmith, age 90, of Lyons, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at her home, after a sudden illness. She was a native of Toombs County and lived most her life in Cedar Crossing where she was a homemaker that enjoyed simply sitting on her front porch, waving to friends and neighbors, and watching parades. In her early years, Tiny worked hard in farming, cropping tobacco, and canning vegetables. Later in life, she loved fishing, collected baby dolls for more than fifty years, and was a member of Cedar Crossing Church of God. She truly had a heart of gold and would help anyone that asked.

Ms. Tiny was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Lila Denmark Neesmith; and her brothers, Eugene Neesmith, Earldean Neesmith, and Paul Neesmith.

Ms. Tiny's loved ones include her significant other, Randy Hooks of Lyons; two nephews, Danny Neesmith and wife Frances of Atlanta, and Paul Neesmith of Ellijay; and nieces and nephews, Paula Harwell, Sylvia Lowe, Sharryse Henderson, Roddy Neesmith, Paul Neesmith, Jr., William Danny Neesmith, Jr., Nick Neesmith, Brandon Neesmith, and Hunter Leverett.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, August 12th morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.

The service will be held Tuesday, August 12th at 11:00 am at Cedar Crossing Church of God with Pastor Steven Toole officiating. The burial will follow in the Cedar Crossing Cemetery.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia.
