It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Todd W. Witt, of Harrison, on October 2, 2024, at Jewish Hospital.
Todd was born in Springfield, Ohio on Feb. 5, 1942, to Wilfred and Jeanne (nee Todd) Wisden. When he was very young his father passed and his mother remarried James C. Witt and he adopted Todd. He was a 1960 graduate of Mariemont High School. He loved playing football in high school and his love grew to playing, watching and supporting his beloved UC Bearcat Football. Todd's enjoyment of football also lead to officiating for 30 years. After College Todd enlisted in the US Army, he found his career working as a Sales Engineer at Johnson Electric and retired in 2016. He met Barbara Christy and they blended their families when they married on March 17, 1990. Todd had an amazing voice, and his family loved to hear him sing. His favorite songs to sing were songs by George Beverly Shea. Todd also enjoyed being outside hunting or fishing in his younger years. Todd was also very good at woodworking from making things to fixing things around the house.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Barbara (nee Christy) Witt; dear children: Christopher (Kerry) Witt, Stephanie (Rod) Chapman, and Jennifer (Jason) Tomlinson and his bonus children: Joshua (Sarah) and Christopher (Heather) Eggebrecht; cherished grandchildren: Megan & James Witt, Andrew & Jacob Chapman, Brayden & Baylee Tomlinson, Adelyn, Savanah, Lorelei, Shae & Taylee Eggebrecht. Todd is also survived by his brother: Thomas "Tom" Witt and sisters-in-law: Sandy Witt, Patricia (Garry) Williams & Diana (Joey) Paugh; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents Wilfred Wisden, James Clinton Witt and Jeanne (nee Todd) Witt, brothers: Jeffrey Witt and Jamie Witt.
A Gathering of friends and family will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison Ohio, 45030, on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 4pm until the Memorial Service at 5 pm.
Burial of cremains will be on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Spring Grove Cemetery at 10am with Military Honors provided by the US Army.

My first memory of Todd was likely him providing the voice of God or singing at church when I was growing up. I've never known a world without him in it. He was the best kind of family, (not blood) but the kind you choose. He will be missed but never forgotten because he was one of a kind.

He was like a second dad to me along with my good friend Barb his wife of 34 years. Todd was a gentle kind soul. Love you Todd I'll see you again.
