Toni Lyn Hendrickson, a dedicated truck driver and esteemed two-war U.S. Army Veteran passed away on September 25, 2025, at Covenant Health RMC-Roane Medical Center in Harriman, TN. Born on January 19, 1959 at Fort Sill, Comanche, Oklahoma, Toni led a life characterized by service, resilience, and commitment to her family and her country. Toni was also a graduate of Harriman High School in Harriman, Tennessee.
As a proud member of the National Guard, Toni participated in the first Gulf War in 1991 and the Iraq War in 2003, serving her nation with honor and distinction. Her military service exemplified her dedication and strength, traits that also defined her successful career as a truck driver, where she traveled extensive routes and forged friendships along the way.
Toni's legacy will be cherished by her surviving family members. She is survived by her half-sister, Sharron Hill, who held a special place in her heart, as well as a close friend and caregiver, Crystal Jackson, who provided unwavering support during Toni's life. Toni also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alfred Hendrickson and Daisy Roberts Hendrickson, her maternal grandfather, Tole Roberts, her brother, James Michael Hendrickson, and her sister, Tami Galloway.
Toni Lyn Hendrickson will be remembered for her bravery, her adventurous spirit, and her unconditional love for her family and friends. Her contributions to her community and to her country will leave a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Memorial Service for Toni will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, 155 Hickory Street, Hyden, KY. 41749 with Gordon Blair officiating.
*Full Military Rites will be performed by the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter #133*
Burial will take place at the Ulysses Creek Cemetery on Ulysses Creek Road, Bear Branch, KY.
