Tony Sciullo, 70, of Canonsburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was a dedicated businessman, philanthropist, and avid outdoorsman who committed his life's work to his career and the community.
Tony was the founder and President of Tony Sciullo State Farm Agency, a company he established on June 1, 1984, which he later incorporated to Sciullo Insurance and Financial Services Inc., on July 1, 2007. His professional achievements were also supported by his solid academic foundation, holding an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and pursuing further executive education at Boston College, Yale, Warton, and the Harvard Business School OPM Program.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Tony was an active community leader. He served as President of the Harvard Business School Club of Pittsburgh for many years (2018-2023) and more recently a member of the Board of Governors. Tony was a very active member of the HBS Club of Pittsburgh. He was a valued member of the boards of the Spectrum Charter School, the OCA, the Pittsburgh Opera, and the Wildlife For Everyone Endowment Foundation. Tony also served as Vice President of the ARPCA and as the Regional Vice President of Safari Club International for the Northeast Ohio & Western PA Chapter. His public service extended to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, where he proudly served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff.
Tony was a true conservationist who had a love for the outdoors, particularly hunting and adventure travel. He also had a strong religious faith and would read his bible daily.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Tina Buxton; his daughter, Joyce Miller and her husband Ron; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Miller; two brothers, Albert Sciullo and Nicholas Walker; two half-siblings, Bobby Walker and Mary Walker; two stepdaughters, Amiee Buxton and Katherine Buxton; and his beloved hunting companions, Artemus and Athena.
A gathering to celebrate Tony's life will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 12:00PM to 4:00PM at Pan Wei Restaurant located at 113 Cavasina Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
At Tony's request, a private family interment will be held at a later date.

I've known Tony since he started his agency, we've become friends through our discussions on a variety of topics that had nothing to do with insurance. Mostly about cars and his stories about hunting or family. Tina and he shared a trip to a ballet at the Benedum with me and Mary Jo. I want to express my sympathy to his family and Tina, I've always enjoyed my discussions with him, and he will be missed.

Tony always had something to add to every conversation. His knowledge was deep and wide. No topic was off-limits, from hunting, to the Vintage Grand Prix, cars, an entrepreneur and world traveler. We will miss you and pray for your family.

Our deepest sympathies to the family of Tony. I will always remember his willingness to help me as a new agent and the fun conversations about hunting, his coach bus with the Big Detroit Diesel engine and the places he traveled. Tony openly shared his faith with others and loved his Lord. Praying for the family for peace and comfort at this time.

There was no one like Tony ! The longer you live the more you learn. I always learned from Tony's shared wisdom. Tony sure lived and loved learning. So many people can carry fond and funny memories of things Tony said or did. Tony, I hope you wear that safari jacket in heaven.
