Trisha Haun, 54, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on July 3, 2025, after a courageous
two-year battle with Grade 4 Glioblastoma. Throughout her illness - which included
two craniotomies - Trisha remained a shining example of joy, strength, and resilience.
She never let cancer define her. Instead, she continued to live fully, love deeply, and
smile brightly - just as she always had.
Born on May 7, 1971, Trisha brought light and laughter wherever she went. She was
known for her beautiful smile, her boundless happiness, and her infectious love of life.
Her presence lit up every room.
Trisha met her soulmate, Leslie, when they were just 13 years old. What began as a
childhood friendship grew into a lasting partnership built on love, laughter, and
unwavering devotion. They began building a beautiful life and family together 13 years
later and were legally married on March 11, 2017 - a long-awaited celebration of love
that stood the test of time.
Trisha devoted over 28 years to the United States Postal Service, where she earned the
nickname "Sunshine" because she was always smiling and bringing positivity to those
around her. Her coworkers became family, and the friendships she built there lasted a
lifetime.
She was also part of the Brainy Bunch, a support group for individuals affected by
Glioblastoma, along with their loved ones. She deeply valued the meaningful friendships
she formed with others who were facing the same battle against GBM.
She had a deep love for music and attended countless concerts and sporting events -
cheering loudest for her favorite team, the Cincinnati Bengals. Her love of animals was
constant throughout her life, and she especially adored her dogs Jack, Charlie, and
Harry, who brought her comfort and joy every day.
Trisha lived with grace, loved without limits, and faced every challenge with courage and
her beautiful smile. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were
lucky enough to know her.
Trisha is survived by her beloved wife, Leslie Haun, and their children: Luke Spradlin
(Sydney Mucha), Wade Spradlin (Libby Dodd), and Lola Haun. She is also survived by
her parents, Mark and Connie Boss; her siblings, Greg Rechtiene, Beth Cook (Jeremy),
and Justin Boss; and her in-laws, Leneda Haun (Scott Ervin), Susan Scott (Bill), and
Jay Haun. She was a devoted aunt to Collin, Carter, Amelia, Wyatt, and Delaney. She
was preceded in death by her in-laws, Barb and John Haun, and her nephew, Captain
Jacob Haun.
A celebration of Trisha's life will be held on July 19, 2025, at the Cold Spring Community
Center 5694 East Alexandria Pike Cold Spring, KY 41076, beginning at 5:00 PM.-8:00 PM. All
who loved her are welcome to attend and share in the joy and memories she brought to
so many. A time for sharing the many memories Trisha brought to us all will begin at 7:00 pm.
