Tyler Day Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home on Dec. 29, 2025.
Tyler David Day, age 26, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025.
Tyler, the son of Shaun and Kristy Day, was born in Lexington, Kentucky on September 28, 1999. He was a graduate of Madison Central High School and attended the Kentucky School for the Blind. Tyler, who was born legally blind, had an unwavering spirit, determination, and personality that brought light and presence to any room. He loved cars, especially race cars and mud trucks, and could identify any vehicle by the sound of their engine. He loved music but nothing better than the sound of keys between his fingers while he spent his childhood surrounded by the sounds of engines and automobiles in his father's autobody shop.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin brother: Taylor (Dana) Day; Sister: Nadia; Grandparents: David Allen Day, Mary Day and Terri and Jack Johnson; Great Grandmother: Nancy Eversole; Aunts: Kelly Shelton, Breanna Smith (Corey), and Stephanie Abney (Richard); Uncle: Jessi James Day; Neices: Addilynn, Aaliyah, and Aubree Day; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Arnold Eversole and Raymond and Ruby Day.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM Monday, January 5, 2026, at Eastside Community Church, 2010 Catalpa Loop Road, Richmond, KY 40475.
The funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM Monday at the church.
Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
