Vera Ann Lloyd Schneider

Vera Ann Lloyd Schneider, 77 of Louisville passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
She was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, worked as an accountant for Kroger, the Belle of Louisville and Jefferson County.
Outside of spending time with her family, Vera's biggest loves in life were singing and baking. She was an active member at St. Stephen Martyr for over 50 years, having been a cantor, a choir member and a former teacher. She was also a member of Sweet Adeline's for many years. Vera was very involved with her community and was part of several groups, including a post-polio group, bridge group and a barbershop quartet singing at various functions around Louisville. Vera routinely made homemade treats including pies, cakes and cookies. She also had her own business, Desserts by Vera, and really enjoyed making wedding cakes. Vera had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling trips with friends and traveling overseas.
Vera was also in the first co-ed class at Bellarmine, graduating with a degree in accounting.
Most important to Vera was her family, for whom she relished spending her time with.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice Kinzie Lloyd and Evelyn Sophia Gardner Lloyd; and brothers, Donald Lloyd and Robert Lloyd.
She is survived by her son, Mike Schneider; daughter, Lisa Mohamed (Ricky); grandchildren, Zachary, Matylin, Molly, Victor; brother, Edward Lloyd; and many other loving family members and friends.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church 2931 Pindell Avenue. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Ratterman Embry Bosse Funeral Home 2723 Preston Hwy.
