Victor Joseph Berretta

Victor Joseph Berretta, 87, of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away peacefully in his home on June 25, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born in Staten Island, NY to Girolamo and Marianna Berretta. Devoted husband of 64 years to the love of his life Beatrice Berretta and dedicated father to their four children.
He honorably served in the second infantry of the United States Army. He was a master craftsman bricklayer for over 70 years. He was an avid antique car collector and a loyal NASCAR and Yankees baseball fan. After residing in Commack, NY for 32 years, he retired to Chesapeake, Virginia.
He is survived by his loving wife Beatrice; son Victor Berretta (Marie), daughter Tina Fries (Thomas), daughter Donna Frangione and Deanna Robertson (Mike), adored by his grandchildren Tiffany, Tiana, Dina, Ronnie, Victoria, Jenna, Ryan, Anthony, Christina, Cassie, Jordan, Tabitha, Matheau, Ethan, great grandson Xander and soon to be great grandson Jack Thomas. He is also survived by five of his thirteen siblings; Nick Berretta, Girolamo Berretta, Laura Stettinger, Jennie Gambardella and Frank Berretta. Predeceased by his siblings, Angie DeFilippis, Marion Uzzo, Vincent Berretta, Sarafina (Dolly) DiBiaso, Joseph Berretta, Robert Berretta, and Lucia (Lucy) Swol. He is loved and adored by all.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Oman Funeral Home located at 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church located at 621 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. The committal service will immediately follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens located at 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322
