Our sweet dad, papa, uncle, brother and son passed away unexpectedly, early morning 03-21-2024.
Vince was born and raised in
American Fork, Utah on 05-23-1959 to Carl Arnoldus and Barbara Cullen. He was later adopted by his true dad, Lloyd Conder.
He graduated from American Fork High School where he raised all kinds of hell with his best friend, whom he called a brother, John Motsinger. Vince was always in the principles office or in trouble with someone. He liked to cause all sorts of chaos. One example being; throwing type writers out of the school window's and breaking into the school swimming pool. He loved cruising up and down main street in one of his amazing vehicles. Usually, the meet up spot was the "High Spot".
At 14 years old Vince was on his own and moved up to Layton, UT to live with his Uncle Wayne for work. He later moved back home and worked construction, He ran heavy equipment, did drywall, worked at Geneva Steele and got into his passion which was truck driving. He eventually started his own company Conder Trucking. Trucking was his pride and joy. He was very proud and successful. He was a damn hard worker.
He met his first sweetheart, Michele Caldwell when he was in High School. Vince and Michele married and moved to
Mesa, Arizona for Vince's work. They welcomed Chelsie into their lives on 12-14-1985. When Barbara, Vince's mother passed, that brought them back to Utah in July of 1986. On 11-05-1988 they welcomed their second daughter, Chassie into the world. Vince and Michele later divorced in 2000.
A few years later, Chelsie and Nick blessed him with two grandson's, Drayson Vincent and Jade Nicholas Hunter. They were his whole world. He loved them with everything he had. The boys loved their papa and his black Ford. Vince loved every minute he had with his grandson's.
In 2016 he met his sweetheart, Dori. Vince and Dori spent the last eight years happily together. Dori has a world of patience for Vince. Those who know him, knew he was a tough one to deal with. Dori dealt with him very well! She knew how to put him in his place. They love teasing each other and bantering to show their love for each other.
Throughout Vince's life he enjoyed riding his Harley with B.A.C.A. Hiking, camping, fishing, four wheeling, shooting, hunting, boating and jet skiing. Anything outdoors he loved. He had a huge obsession with vehicles. He would spend hours polishing every bit of chrome on any vehicle he owned. Especially, his semi. He had trucks, cars, all the big kid toys. One of his favorite cars he owned was a 1966 Chevelle super sport that was black with the white racing stripes that he later painted all black with a 454. When it came to his trucks, it was Ford all day. He made the mistake of buying a Chevy step side that he sold shortly after purchasing it. He was a damn good cook and made some amazing Dutch oven meals. He excelled at his dutch oven skills with Cowboy Potatoes, Cobblers, and meat loaf, amongst many others. He always was the life of the party. He had to be the center of attention. He loved family gatherings with good music and bud light.
He is survived by his father Lloyd Conder (Grace), Sister Rene (Jim) Merryweather, Brother Dave (Jillian) Conder, Daughter's, Chelsie (Nick) Hunter, Chassie Conder (TC), High school sweetheart Michele and current sweetheart Dori as well as his grandson's and nieces and nephews.
