Violet Masciandaro

Violet Masciandaro grew up in Brooklyn, New York in a large Italian household. Her parents, Giovanni (John) and Celia Randazzo did their best to always provide a loving, generous home for each of their seven children. In heaven, Violet has now been reunited with her family. She died peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2016 in Shrewsbury. She was 89. Born on December 24, 1926 she was an early Christmas present. Raised and educated in Brooklyn she was a very talented furrier and worked for years in the industry. She later worked in shipping and receiving at the Hazeltine Corporation in Greenlawn, NY. Violet and her late husband, Anthony lived on Long Island until they retired and moved to Florida where they lived many years and enjoyed Florida living in Pompano and Boynton Beach. Violet loved being with her family and friends, cruise excursions with Anthony and many good times on their boat. In addition to her husband, Anthony and her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Joseph and John Randazzo, Mary Giossi, Ida Bifulco and Connie Malz. She leaves her daughters, Jodi C. Rand and her husband, Richard Siegelman of Shrewsbury and Jane E. Dirmeyer and her husband, William Mallory of LaVista, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Julie David, Jonathan Dirmeyer, Nicolas and Daria Siegleman; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Clare and Ben David and Vivian Dirmeyer; her sister and best friend, Ann Arcaro of East Northport, New York; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Violet's life in Huntington, New York and Lake Worth, Florida. There are no calling hours. Burial in South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida will be private. Memorials in her name may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 181 Park Avenue, Suite 12, West Springfield, MA 01089
