Virginia Mae (Maples) Rogers passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at her home in Clever, Missouri. She was born January 24, 1931,in Stone County, Missouri to Emory and Mary (Keithley) Maples. She married "J" Edward (Jake) Rogers on October 16, 1947 in Ozark, Missouri and became a career wife and mother. Her hobbies included maintaining the home and garden, taking care of her family, participating in church activities and "visiting over the fence" with the neighbors. She was a long-time member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Boaz, Missouri.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Jake; her daughter, Donna Robinson; four sisters, Betty June Hamilton, Sylvia Fleetwood, Katy Harvill, and Tonya Keithley; and four brothers Chester, Wilford, Freddy, and Keith Maples. Virginia is survived by her children Vicki (Jim) Hancock of Nixa, Nancy (Tony) Geren of Anna, Texas, Tim (Christi) Rogers of Billings, Jennifer (Michael) Bartkoski of Wentworth, and son-in-law Jay Robinson of Tallahassee, Florida. She is also survived by ten
grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Survivors also include three sisters, Janice Kee and Nelda Williams of Springfield, and Dixie Soutee of Marionville; two brothers, Steve (Sharon)Maples of Springfield and Aubrey (Barbara) Maples of Republic, and one sister-in-law, Emma Jean Jackson of Navasota, Texas. She will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 21 from 5-7 pm and funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2:00 pm, both at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever with Rev. Dale Grubaugh officiating. Interment will be at Union Ridge Cemetery.
