Virginia Odell Parks Stacy, age 81 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Viriginia was born on October 7, 1943, in Ellijay, GA, to the late Frank Benjamin and Esty Ivera (Henderson) Parks. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Virigina is preceded in death by her son James Wendell Ash, sisters Beatrice Stone, Kathleen Pate, Grace Stover, Marie Smith, brothers Herman "Bud" Parks, David Parks, Winston Parks, John Parks, and Donald Parks.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years Mack A. Stacy, Ellijay, GA, daughter Yvonda and Neil (Swampy) Edmonds, Talking Rock, GA, grand children Dustin Edmonds, Talking Rock, GA, Melina Black Ellijay, GA, Kylie Chance, Jasper, GA, brother Bennie and Patrica Parks, Ellijay, GA, great grand children Colson Jones, and Waylon Chance, also several nieces and nephews survive.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11 am at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Sanford officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Neil Edmonds, Dustin Edmonds, Shane Parks, Jim Bob Smith, Jessie Parks, and Matthew Chance serving as pallbearers.
