Vlasta Jurek Obituary
She and her husband, Gus, lived in Houston, raising four children: Andy, Ronnie, Anna Marie, and Carol. They then moved to Wallis, where they were surrounded by many friends and relatives. She was an active member of Catholic Daughters and had many interests, which included gardening, cooking, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and furniture restoration. Her beloved hobby was playing Bingo with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 15 siblings, her husband August A. Jurek and her daughter Anna Marie Pousson. She is survived by her son Andy and his wife Shannon, her son Ron, her daughter Carol, and her son-in-law Jay, along with 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The celebration of her life will be on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5610 Demel Street, Wallis, Texas 77485.
