Obituary
Walter Eugene Graves, 68, of Creston and formerly of Wadsworth, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at The Avenue at Wooster after a time of declining health.
He was born in Barberton on Aug. 12, 1954 to the late Dallas and Edna (Stocker) Graves and graduated from Cloverleaf High School. Walter worked in Construction as well as was a drummer in several different bands including Three Quarter Ton. He had worked at Walmart in Wadsworth where he had enjoyed being Santa during the Christmas Season. Music was Walt's life as were his grandkids and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amber Graves and grandchildren, Chloe and Degan of Creston and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters and brothers, Isabelle Hartong, Evelyn Schafer, Jack Graves, Kenneth Graves, Sharon Palmer and Wanda Jenkins.
Friends may call Sunday, July 30th from 4-7 pm at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where services will be held Monday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

My sincere condolences to the family in the loss of Walter. I only knew him from school, and remember him as a genuinely nice person- pleasant to everyone! It fits that he was Santa material later on. The sound of raindrops and thunder will just be him drumming on!
