Waverly Steven "Wave" Porch, 57, of Newnan, Georgia, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, September 12, 2025.
Mr. Porch was born on October 23, 1967, in Guntersville, Alabama, the son of the late Jack Steve Porch and Anna Maxine Boles Wood, and was also lovingly raised by his stepmother, Cathy Haynes Porch, and stepfather, Mitch Devers. He attended Prattville High School and was a veteran of the US Navy. Following his time serving his country, he dedicated his career to the field of supply chain logistics, where he was known for his reliability, leadership, and dedication. He loved the Lord; was an avid cyclist and loved Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, and by his sister, Stefanie Deanna Culpepper, along with other beloved family members who passed before him.
Survivors include his wife, Tamara Bowen Porch, children, Jaycie Lynn Porch, Cameron Jace Porch, Conner Eric Porch, Sadie Grace Porch, Daniel Joseph Porch, Logan Allen Porch; brother, Zachary Mitchell Devers (Brooke); mother-in-law, Terry Edwards; many extended family members and friends.
Interment services will be conducted at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton,Georgia, Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Carl Poole officiating. The US Navy will render military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to support the future educational expenses of Waverly's children-a cause close to his heart and legacy.
