Wayne Comegys Obituary

Wayne was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Rebecca (Collins) and William Comegys. He graduated from Conrad High School and served in the Delaware National Guard. Wayne worked as an electrician for various companies in the area and retired as an electrical estimator. He was a longtime member of the Diamond State Drum Corp. and an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bernard.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret (Morgan) Comegys and his son, William Comegys, both of Newark.
Friends are invited to visit at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10 AM to 11 AM. A service will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Aetna Fire Company, 31 Academy Street, Newark, DE 19711.
