Anthony Alan Comegys II, age 34, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born on June 3, 1989, in Michigan City, IN to Anthony Comegys and Brijean (Castle) Hogge.
Anthony is survived by his mother and step-father, Brijean and Jeffrey Hogge of Chesterton, IN; his father and step-mother, Anthony Comegys I and Donna Perdue of Lakeland, FL; his siblings, Tristen (Brittany Kerwin) Comegys, Victoria (Ben) Williams, Jacob Hogge, Jessica GildeMontes, Autumn Gillan, Ashlyn Gillan, Joshua Perdue; three grandfathers, Richard Castle, Lewis Comegys, James Hogge; grandmother, Mary Lou Hogge; one nephew, many nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Bonnie Jean Castle-Jurs, Clara Comegys; great-grandmother, Beatrice Castle; and two cousins, Mark Grant II and Courtney Castle.
Anthony graduated from Chesterton High School, class of 2008. He completed his Machinist Apprenticeship and was a Journeyman Machinist for Midwest Service Center in Hobart. Anthony lived life to the fullest and had an adventurous soul. He loved to fish, kayak and camp and enjoyed the outdoors. Anthony loved video games, music and comedy. He was a movie buff and had a great sense of humor. Anthony had the biggest heart and was the best storyteller.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 5:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Anthony's honor may be made to Porter County Community Foundation at www.pccf.gives
