Wayne John Zacher was born on August 6, 1954, to Eugene and Barbara (Keller) Zacher in Aberdeen, SD. He was one of eleven children.
He was a single man all his life but a true family man at heart. Wayne loved his family and took special pride and joy in his nieces and nephews. He always loved children and being with people. Wayne was kind, generous, and filled with joy. He cared deeply for others, always wanting to know how family and friends were doing. Wayne treated others with exuberance and joy, making them feel like the greatest part of his day was to see you. He was a great friend and someone you could share anything with, and he never felt judged. Wayne had an infectious smile that made everyone feel loved. He had an impressive wealth of knowledge about a vast amount of many things.
Wayne enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and cooking. He was a wonderful chef and made the best biscuits and gravy.
Wayne had a great sense of humor and a quick wit, making him the life of the party. He was also good at impersonations and was the best entertainer.
Wayne had a strong faith and loved his church. It brings comfort to know he is now face to face with his Lord Jesus, but he will be greatly missed.
Grateful for having shared Wayne's life are his 10 siblings.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Barbara, and one sister, Cis Roth.
