Wilfried Rocholl
Saginaw, MichiganThe Rocholl family are saddened to announce the death of Wilfried Rocholl, 89, of
Saginaw, MI. Known to all as Will, he passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025. Will was born July 3, 1936 in Gunne, Germany as the oldest son of Anna and Franz Rocholl. He completed his business school education in Germany, but jumped at the opportunity to visit the United States at the suggestion of his Uncle Albert Spiegel. Will came to Saginaw in 1956, became a U.S. citizen and lived in Saginaw the remainder of his life. While part of the Germania Choir, he met the love of his life: Marianne Bein. They wed on February 4, 1961 and were happily married for 64 years. Will spent his early life working in the construction industry prior to becoming a home builder. Will partnered with George Miessner to form MI-RO Builders, where they teamed up to build hundreds of houses across the greater Saginaw area over the span of nearly 30 years. Will loved being outdoors and he and Marianne enjoyed decades at their cottage on Lake St. Helen with family and friends. Will enjoyed driving his boat while Marianne and the kids water skied. Later, he took great pride in his lawn, always keeping it one of the best looking yards in the neighborhood. Will was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Greater Beneficial Union. Will and Marianne were also long-time members of St. Helen church (currently Christ the Good Shepherd).
Will is survived by his wife, Marianne Rocholl; brother, Werner (Brigitta) Rocholl of Gunne, Germany; sister-in-law, Gerda Jones of
Saginaw, MI; son, John (Julie) Rocholl of Cumming, GA; daughter, Annette (Kevin Dorey) Rocholl of
Saginaw, MI; Grandchildren, Alex (Alyson) Rocholl of Cumming, GA; Brooke (Chris) Rutledge of Cumming, GA; Trent (Katee) Oldenburg of Brant, MI and Chase Oldenburg of St. Charles, MI; and one great-grandchild, Avery Rutledge of Cumming, GA.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish – St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St. Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate. While Will's soul will be in heaven, his body will be laid to rest at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in his memory.
