Willadean Doggett Jackson was born November 7th, 1941 to Willard and Ardean Rhoads Doggett. She attended McNeely Country School Northeast of Plainview and at the beginning of the 4th grade she started attending Atlanta Elementary School and graduated from Atlanta High School in 1959.
She married William Jackson in August 8th, 1959 at the Atlanta Christian Church and was married by Rev. Roy Walker a neighborhood friend. On Sept 2nd, 1960 their son Lavern was born. They ran Plainview Store which was owned by Willadean's grandparents, Rolla and Dona Rhoads. And in 1964 they moved to the Famous McNeely Farm when Bill started his career of farming and Willadean worked beside him, taking Lavern to the field with her to play at the end of the field.
At 36 Willadean attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers and started her own accounting and tax practice and later she started and owned and operated Sho Me Tours. She traveled and took tours all over our world having traveled to 23 countries and all of the States of the USA and all of the provinces of Canada except 1. She loved mowing the lawn and watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and working on genealogy.
She was an active member of the Atlanta Christian Church having been baptized in 1953 by Bro. Harold Bolden. At present she was the longest continuous member at the time of her death.
She is survived by one niece, Ronda (Keith) March both of Macon 2 granddaughters Ladeana Marie Jackson and her mother Angelia of Atlanta, and Whitney Lavern Hoy (Nate) of Grand Baye Alabama, a grandson Ryan Gordon (Taylor) of Cairo, she has 8 great grandchildren and 4 nephews and several great, great nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Bill and son, Lavern. Her parents, sister Kay Carnahan, and 2 nephews. Renita Waldron niece.
Graveside service will be 6:30 pm, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta, MO. Memorials may be made to Tri County Christian School or Shelby County Christian Assembly. Arrangements are under the direction of Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta.
