William Joseph Barker, husband, father, pastor, evangelist, artist, age 79 of Greeley, CO experienced his homecoming October 4, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family members. He was born November 6, 1941 in Beech Grove, IN to the late William L. and Anne H. (Louks) Barker.
He was a 1959 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1974, and was ordained May 9, 1972. Bill retired from active ministry after over 50 years of service. He enjoyed music, art, horseback riding and writing.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Rittenhouse) Barker of Greeley; sons, Joseph Scott (Lora) of Morgantown, IN, James, Murray, and Todd (Sarah) Barker all of Colorado; daughters, Bonnie (Brian) Bell of Greensburg, IN and Heather/Trish (Robert) Hayes of Evans, CO; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Donna Price of Carson City, NV; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Anne (Louks) Barker; brothers, Richard Barker, James Newfield, and Fred Barker.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown, IN. Interment will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown with a luncheon to follow at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Condolences and memories of Bill may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com.
