William R. "Bill" Besemer, age 84, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Mr. Besemer was born July 12, 1939 in Queens, New York, a son of the late William E. and Lucille Beck Besemer. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Besemer was a Quality Control Technician at John F. Kennedy Airport for 32 years where he worked in the Fueling Dept. He was a member of the Carolina Patriots. Mr. Besemer was predeceased by his first wife of 37 years, Loraine "Lee" Besemer, and two sisters, Jane Buchanan and Carol Happ.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Besemer of Conway; and one sister, Evelyn Mundt of Conway.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 3810 Robert M. Grissom Parkway Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
