William Bucklar Obituary

William E. Bucklar, 83, of Peoria, IL passed away on February 9, 2026 at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.

William (Bill) was born on August 26, 1942 to Charles W. Bucklar and Eileen A. Whited. He graduated from Spalding Institute and went on to become a successful Sales Manager for Cargill Seed and Pioneer Hybrid. Later he was a director for the Peoria Area Association of Realtors. Bill was retired in The Villages, FL.

Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He married the love of his life, Ann Weitz, on October 26, 1963. Together, through 63 years of marriage, they built a life centered on faith, family and friends. Bill had a terrific sense of humor and a natural ability to make others feel welcome and valued. More than anything he enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wif, Ann; his two sons Bill (Maria) of The Villages, FL, Mike of Peoria; and daughter Julia (Quinn) Gray of Peoria; five grandchildren, Kayla, Courtney, Anna, Brian & Nicole. He is preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings Chuck and Jack Bucklar and sister, Mary Ann Smith. A visitation will be held on March 28 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Peoria, IL. from 10 am-11 am, followed by mass at 11am and Entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling arrangements.

So as long as we live, they too shall live and they are now a part of us as we remember.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Red Cross or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
