William L. Cavanagh, a resident of Rose Valley, died on June 16, 2025 at the age of 78.
Bill was a member of the graduating class of 1964 from St. James High School. In 1968, he received a BA from Villanova University and later earned his MA from Widener University.
Bill is a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He was inducted into the Saint James Wall of Honor, was a member of the Saint James High School Alumni Blue & Gray Voices, Villanova Singer's Legacy Society, Chester Pike Kiwanis Club, Media Area Jaycees, and Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
His favorite pastimes included spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren pursue athletics and the arts, enjoying time at his Pocono lake house with his family, and boating on the Delaware River.
Husband of Joanne (née McNamee) and father to his three children Lee (Stephanie) Cavanagh, Caitlin (Joseph) Lesniak, and Kiernan (Erin) Cavanagh. Brother of Bart Cavanagh, Martha Cavanagh, and the late Patience McFadden. He is also the loving Pop to six grandchildren: Avery, Mallory, Trevor, Will, Maeve, and Declan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday June 24th after 9:30am in the church of St. John Chrysostom, Wallingford, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am. Int. Private.
