William "Bill" Franklin Crooks, 83 of Lima, passed away July 1, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
Bill was born December 23, 1941 in Lima to William and Molly (Melton) Crooks, who preceded him in death. On April 23, 1966, he married the love of his life, Mary (McKee) Crooks, who survives him in Lima.
Bill was a proud United States Navy Veteran and he most recently worked as a carpet layer at Lee's Carpet. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing the guitar. Bill was a handy man who loved tinkering and fixing electronics. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Bill will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian (Jeanne) Crooks, Diana Adkins and Laura Williams; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Merle) Wireman and his dog, Patches.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES - EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice.
