William P. Domain, 71, a resident of Lake Villa, IL, passed away October 28, 2025, at his home. He was born October 20, 1954 in Chicago, IL to Raymond and Carol Domain. He grew up in Grayslake and attended St. Gilbert Grade School and Grayslake Community High School.
Will worked in graphic design in Chicago most of his adult life. Some of his outstanding projects were the Taco Bell chihuahua, the Michael Jordan baseball card, and Happy Meal carton design for Beanie Babies. He enjoyed sailing especially in the Caribbean. Collecting and playing guitars was also a passionate interest. Later in life he also enjoyed traveling with Cathy and following the highs and lows of the Chicago Bears. He endured multiple health issues but continued to enjoy his musical and photographic pursuits.
Will is survived by his companion Cathy Butts, his sons Ryan Domain of Lake Villa, Kevin (Sarah) Domain of Glendale Heights, and Kyle Domain of Lake Villa, his grandsons Ethan Domain and Caleb Domain of Glendale Heights, his siblings Margaret (Jayme) Rosemeyer of Spring Grove, Tim Domain of Plano TX, and Mary (Anton Verwijst) Vohasek of McHenry, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nan Domain, and his son Erick Domain.
A memorial visitation and service is scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2025 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 3:00pm until 4:30pm with the service commencing at 4:30pm. Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
