William Fremont "Bill" Frye, Sr., 79, of Martinsville, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Grand Valley Health and Rehab.
He was born Thursday, April 5, 1945 to the late Fred Fremont and Susie (Myers) Frye in Bloomington, Indiana.
Bill was a 1963 graduate of Center Grove High School and worked for several years as a diesel mechanic. He was a skilled craftsman who built homes all over Morgan County. Bill was also a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his sons, William F. "Billy" Frye, Jr and wife Stacey, Tony Frye; grandchildren, A. J. Frye, Jaylen Frye; great grandchildren, Raelynn Frye, Montana Frye; sisters, Linda Robinson, Joyce Hacker; first wife, Shirley A. (Whitlock) Braden.
Bill was preceded in death by his second wife, Virginia "Doris" (Cox) Frye who passed May 7, 2018; sister, Connie Tharp.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Waverly.
