William "Bill" Hess

Mr. William "Bill Hess" Perry Hess, age 66, of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Sunday (December 29, 2024) at his home. Born February 7, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late William and Betty Honaker Hess. He was a lifelong resident of the area and had formerly been employed as a coal miner. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of nearly twenty years, Patricia Ann Hess; children, Amanda Moose and husband, William and Brian Street; grandchildren, Hunter Moose and Faith Moose; siblings, Cathi Hess, David "George" Hess, Clarence "Bear" Hess and wife, Samantha, Becky Hess, Shelia Hess and husband, Rick, Jeri Blankenship and husband, Rick, and Rachel Hess; children he raised as his own, Regina Stinson, Teresa Richardson, Tommy Richardson, Eugene Miller, Barry Miller, and Kimberly Miller; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susie and Larry Fields, Faye and Darrell Harris, Jeff Ward and Laura, Ricky and Teresa Ward, and Leshia Ward; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Eddie Street and Bro. Jeremiah Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Hess Family Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Miller, David Richardson, Brian Miller, Michael Honaker, Donald Honaker, Johnny Peck, and Carlos Peck.
Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Moose.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Wednesday at the Honaker Funeral Home.
