William Howard "Bill" James, 75, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, August 11th, 2025. He was born November 20th, 1949 in Marion, Kentucky to his parents William Mowen and Willie Therol (Phillips) James. He married Susan Marie (Springer) James on May 6th, 1972.

Bill is survived by his wife, Susan Marie James of Mooresville; two sons: Douglas James (Sandra) of Greenwood and Eddie James (Betsey) of Martinsville; four grandchildren: Brittany, Kaitlyn, Hunter and Cole; one great granddaughter, Skylar; and one sister, Sandra McKinney (Oley) of Brownsburg.

Bill is preceded in death by both of his parents; and his brother, Phillip James.

Bill, a proud graduate of North Salem High School in 1968, excelled in both basketball and baseball. He dedicated 30 years of hard work as a city driver for Roadway in Indianapolis and was a respected member of the Teamsters. His passion for hunting, fishing, and golfing reflected his love for the outdoors and the joys of life. He was also found many times sitting around a table playing cards. Bill loved his family dearly.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Susan,Doug,Eddie,Family Members and Friends . My Prayers go out to all of you. With Bill's passing, we have all suffered a great loss. It seems that Great Friends don´t come around in life very often, and that´s what BJ was to me. The fun we had hiding in a duck blind that we built together on the river waiting for to fly by,Still puts a smile on my face. If the Lord is willing, maybe we can be together and do that again one day. I miss you Bubba. Rest In Peace My Friend.
