With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Wiliam "Bill" Earl Miller, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of deep faith. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he lived a life marked by wisdom, service, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
A proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Bill earned his Bachelor's degree in Business and Psychology before embarking on a remarkable 36-year career at Cintas Corporation as the Director of Training and Development. His passion for mentorship shaped countless lives, and his expertise extended beyond the workplace into his writing, as the author of several books on interviewing, leadership, and Christian faith.
Faith was the cornerstone of Bill's life. He found great joy in leading Bible studies, singing at church, and sharing the Gospel.Bill had a natural gift of lifting spirits and deepening connections to faith. His teachings provided guidance and encouragement to many, and his words-both spoken and written-will continue to inspire.
Outside of his professional and spiritual endeavors, Bill had a passion for photography with his favorite subjects being his family and the beauty of God's creations. It was a typical event for his children to have a camera pointed in their direction during life events, big and small (and also typical for a cacophony of his children in response saying, "C'mon Dad"). Bill loved his dogs, had a particular fondness for his Dobermans, had the gift of training them to be loving and obedient, and notoriously spoiled them rotten. In his later years, Bill and his wife Pat were committed to rescuing senior dogs, providing them with unconditional love, and Bill thoroughly enjoyed taking them on daily trips to the dog park. Bill was an avid aviator who loved flying small planes, embracing the freedom and adventure of the skies. Bill was an excellent storyteller, sharing personal stories of his time in the air and on the ground. Bill loved spending time with family, particularly late nights playing cards and earning the title of,"Aceman". Lastly, Bill loved comedy, his unrelenting "dad-jokes" told while rolling himself into fits of laughter will be deeply missed.
After spending most of his life in Cincinnati, Bill embraced retirement in The Villages, Florida, where he spent the last nine years golfing, building friendships, serving at the Garden Worship Center, publishing authored by William & Patricia Miller), and enjoying the peace of a life well-lived.
Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy Miller; his son, Gary Miller; his parents, Earl and Hazel Miller; and his sister, Linda Shilling.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Miller; children Pamela (Chris) Coleman, Traci (Joe) Grover, Penny (Michael) John, Daniel (Marcy) Niehaus, Patricia (Ken) Mahlschnee; Grandchildren Ryan (Oktavia) Coleman, Kaitlyn (Paul) Bechtold, Emma Coleman, Matthew (Irfan) Miller, Megan (Chris) Herman, Alexis May, Danyelle May, Miles Grover, Tyler Grover, Hunter John, Hayden John, Jacob Niehaus, Avery Niehaus, Noah Niehaus, Lucas Niehaus, Adilyn Niehaus, Allan Mahlschnee, Charles Mahlschnee, William Mahlschnee; Great Grandchildren Blakely Niehaus, and Bryce Herman; sister Debbie Aubrecht; brothers Jerry (Sue) Miller and Kenny Miller. All will carry forward his legacy of love, faith, and integrity.
Bill's life was a testament to service, faith, and love. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE Line) on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be held at the funeral home starting at 11:00am. Inurnment will take place at 1:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
