William Forrest Stevens

William Forrest "Bill" Stevens born on the family farm in Green Sulphur Springs WV on October 27, 1929 to Alston Joseph and Mary Hester (Clay) Stevens. He passed away on August 1, 2025 at his son's home in Indiana.
He joined the Air Force from 1948 to 1953 served state side as well as Casablanca, North Africa. After returning home to West Virginia he decided to move to New Jersey for a bit to work. Came back to West Virginia and married Johnsie Marie Ford in November of 1965. They moved to Flint, Michigan and had two sons. Bill worked at Dover and Co for over 30 years and retired in1986. He spent his retirement going to flea markets and collecting treasures. He loved collecting license plates, collecting and repairing pocket watches and wrist watches. He also loved Nash motorcars and had a few over the years. He spent many winters in Florida and loved it there.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Maria, his brother Clyde, and his parents Alston and Mary Stevens. He is survived by his sons, John (Roberta), their children Robert (Grace) and Autumn (Alex), his son Bill, a few cousins and dear friends Bertha and Mark.
Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery located in Holly, MI at a later date.
