Wm. "Scott" Turner

Wm. "Scott" Turner, 62, of Springfield, died at 6:40 am, Monday, May 13, 2024 at Nixa Nursing and Rehab. He was born July 11, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of The Rev. Wm. "Bill" and Libby (Norman) Turner. The family moved within Oklahoma and Wisconsin, before residing in Springfield, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pam Turner.
Scott graduated from Kickapoo High School and worked for many years at Heritage Cafeterias as Warehouse Manager. He then worked odd jobs and for tree services.
Scott's hobbies included fishing, playing guitar, music, partying and astronomy. He also loved watching sports, including tennis, and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.
Scott is survived by sisters, Tracey (John) Gage of Missoula, MT, Margy (Bill) Smith of Chatham, IL, three nieces, a nephew, friends who were family-Steve & Cassie Divine and girlfriend, Michelle Thomas and her granddaughters, Jadyn & Justice who brought Scott great joy the past five years.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 21 at Springfield Botanical Gardens/Japanese Stroll Garden Pavilion, Springfield, Missouri at 11 a.m.
