J.W. -We are so shocked and sad to learn about Carole. Oh how I loved/love that lady! She was one of the best people on the planet to bring joy and beauty and love to any situation. She laughed me through some of my life's toughest moments - and enriched some of my finest hours. I always think of her as I delight in a hummingbird -or as I fix the right syrup for them so as not to "make their tiny little hearts race." She taught me to see the beauty and talents in so many children that I would have otherwise missed. Our days with our students at the Texas Fair bring tears of joy, as do the strict lessons she gave me on behavior management. She influenced so many of us in such a positive way. We all leave ripples - but she immersed us in waves - those of us lucky enough to have had Carole in our lives. How she adored you, J.W.!! Her "vocal nodules" creaked with joy whenever she told a story about the two of you. Oh I miss her so. I send you love and compassion. You have been so blessed to have been her mate - thank you for having been so special to her. Love, Joan Douglas McManus
