Grosvenor Ervin"Scotty" Wotkyns passed away at his home in Kingwood TX. on April 8. Scotty was born August 27, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA. He served in the Navy, as a Hospital Corpsman from 1954-1964; while serving he was among the first team to winter over at Byrd Station, Antarctica.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grosvenor Eliot and Elizabeth Scott Wotkyns and brothers Marshall Eliot, Major Anthony Ludington, Robert Jackson and Andrew Graves. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Threasa Antoinette (Price) sons, Garth, Bradley, Todd (wife Kelly) and Brendan. Grandchildren Sydney, Gabriel and Benjamin. Sisters Katherine Graves and husband Edward Gonzales, Elizabeth Armstrong and husband Enrique Montes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Scotty was a lifelong athlete, avid outdoorsman and voracious reader. His passion for history and honor of country were known by all who knew him.
A Military memorial will take place in California in June.
