Jennifer Moses Obituary

Jennifer Daryl (Freeman) Moses, age 70 of Conroe, Texas passed away October 4, 2021 due to stroke and diabetes complications. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorrell Franklin Freeman and Charlotte Elaine Freeman, and brother Parris Franklin Freeman.

She is survived by her husband Leslie Moses of Conroe, Texas; one daughter, Shelby Laine Jenkins and husband Dylan, and four grandchildren, Brynley, Brax, Bice, and Brody Jenkins all of New Waverly, Texas; two brothers, Scott Freeman and wife Deborah of Lincoln, Nebraska and Danny Freeman and wife Donna of Onalaska, Texas. Jennifer is also survived by Freeman family nephews and niece JD Freeman of Lincoln, Nebraska, Daniel Freeman of Huntsville, Texas and Rebekah Rawhouser of Hoboken, New Jersey; and by Moses family stepdaughter Amanda Moses of Houston, Texas, sister-in-law, Beverly Mize and husband Don of Crockett, Texas and brother-in-law, Ellis Moses and wife Diann of Conroe, Texas.

Jennifer was born August 13, 1951, in Conroe, Texas. She graduated from Conroe High School in 1969 as did her parents and three brothers. In high school, Jennifer played the flute, was in Future Homemakers of America and the A Capella Choir. After high school, she worked several years at The First National Bank in Conroe, Texas, and then many years with Montgomery County where she retired. Jennifer loved to sing as did her mother, and when growing up, she often would play the piano at home with at least one of her brothers singing along beside her. Jennifer had many, many friends as she grew up. She loved to laugh and could always retell events of her life with her friends or even retell a recent movie in detail better than anyone. It was entertainment just to be around her. One of her best friends said of Jennifer, "you are blessed beyond words when you find a friend like Jennifer". Jennifer had a deep faith in God, and she prayed without ceasing for her family and friends. She was blessed by seeing many of her prayers answered before her passing, and there is no doubt that more of her prayers will also be answered by the God she is with now. Jennifer was an example to all of us in the way she handled both the good and the bad that life threw at her. She was never one to be bitter or vindictive. She loved life and loved people with graciousness. Her family and friends and colleagues will all dearly miss her presents which has left us all too early.

We are all indebted and very appreciative to Three Oaks Hospice for their dedicated service for Jennifer and her family during Jennifer's serious illness. We also greatly appreciate the many visits and wonderful assistance from Jennifer's cousin, Donna Dry, who spent many hours with Jennifer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Old Waverly cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 A.M. Pallbearers will be Scott Freeman, Danny Freeman, Daniel Freeman, Dylan Jenkins, Ronnie McDonald and Jimmy Wiggins.

I remember Jennifer in high school as being very funny and full of life. She enjoyed entertaining us with her jokes and stories. Am so thankful we had an opportunity to visit with each other at our 50th CHS class reunion in May 2019. This sweet lady is now in the arms of Jesus and singing in his choir of heavenly angels. My prayers are with her husband, her daughter and her brothers and all their families.

Jennifer was one of the first people at met at First Baptist of Conroe. She was a joy to be around and could always make me laugh. She was warm and inviting to all she met. But now she is home on High and I am glad she is at peace.

Jennifer and I grew up together at Beach. Our houses backed up together. We had a trail in woods we went back and forth. I love going to her house because of her and 3 brothers .we all roamed the woods where there is now a bid subdivisin. I´ve not seen her for years and just found out once again she lived just 2 houses down from my house I just sold last year . She was a very fun friend .without her and her parents taking me to church I wouldn´t not have excepted Christ at age 9 . Jennifer sing with the angles now . my oldest friend 4 th grade

Jennifer and I met while working at Turner Elementary School. Some of my best memories from Turner are the years we worked together. As mentioned in her obituary, Jennifer could recount, in great detail, quotes and story lines from famous literary novels as well as from pop culture. She made me laugh each and every day. Jennifer was endowed with innumerable talents. Most of all she was kind and sweet and gentle with the children. She was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rest in Peace Sweet Friend.... "May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest"...

Jennifer was the sweetest person and always had a smile on her face. When my kids would come by the office, she loved getting to visit with them. She would ask me from time to time how they were doing and that always meant so much to me. Jennifer was a very special person with a truly loving heart.

She was such a beautiful soul. I met her when I interned at the DA's office in 2015. She was one of the first people I saw every morning when I came into the office. I always knew it was going to be a good day when I saw her. She was so kind to me and made me feel like part of the MOCO family. I've thought about her frequently over the years because she was one of those people that leaves a lasting impression on you. I feel honored that I knew her.
