Jewel Lorida Dever, age 91 of Dayton, Texas, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. She was born June 9, 1923 in Hightower, Texas to parents Charlie and Ida Sackett who preceded her in death along with her husband, Bill Dever; sister, Ruby Alexander; and brother, John L. Sackett.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Gilbert; sons, Billy Dever and Larry Dever; brother, Willard Sackett and wife Margie; grandchildren, Dennis Gilbert and wife Cheryl Gilbert, Sam Dever and fiancé Kelly Williams, and Leslie Dever; great-grandchildren, Esther Gilbert, Micah Gilbert, Ali McClendon and Kailey Delk; caregivers, Glenda Vines, Caroline Franklin, and Karen Moore; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2015 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Brother Dennis Gilbert and Brother Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Dayton, Texas.

Rita and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs.Jewel. I remember, even back as far as our school days, what a sweet lady she was and also our dad's working together at Exxon - lots of good memories. Please know that my love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
