Joseph Damon Grim Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2015 at his home in Kingwood, Texas. Born in Trenton, New Jersey on July 14, 1929 he spent the past 43 years in Kingwood with his wife of 55 years, Ruth.
Joe was a person whose great faith in God was reflected every day in the love, compassion and generosity he showed to everyone. A devoted and loving husband and father, his kindness, humor and quiet strength are gifts that will endure through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all those whose lives he touched.
Joe was preceded in death by his father Harry, mother Alice and brother John. Survivors include his wife Ruth, brother Harry, daughter Bonita Longbrake and husband Jeff, daughter Margaret Berkovsky and husband Larry, son Joseph Jr. and wife Erin, grandchildren Emily, Lauren, Daniel, Jeffrey, Joshua, Jared, Julia, Patrick and Lauren, great grand children Cole, Macy and Dexter, nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Pkwy. Porter, TX 77365 prayed a rosary on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 6:30 pm with viewing and visitation following. A Mass of Ressurection was celebrated by Monsignor Chester Borski Friday, September 18 at 10:00 am at St. Martha Catholic Church. A reception with the sharing of food and fond memories immediately followed the Mass in the gardens at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, TX 77339.
