Robert Oliver Flurry, 76, was born on July 8, 1939 in Dayton, Texas and passed away July 31, 2015 in Kemp, Texas. Robert served in the Navy from 1958-1962. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 20 plus years. Robert loved riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing and searching for arrowheads; but most of all he loved his family. He lived all over South and West Texas, following the railroad, finally settling down in Brackettville, Texas; where he lived for the last 25 years. Robert moved to Kemp, Texas to be near his sons.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Ira Ford Flurry, mother Ethel C. Flurry, brothers; Donald Flurry and Ford Flurry and his grandson Tony Dean.
He is survived by his wife Alana Flurry, sons; Robbye Flurry of Beaumont, TX, Ricky Flurry and wife Tina of Kemp, TX and Paul Flurry and wife Nicole of Forney, TX, daughter Laura James and husband Kevin of Tulare, CA, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many more friends.
