Robert "Bob" Robertson

. Robert Joseph "Bob" Robertson born May 18, 1948 in Elizabeth N.J., died in Kingwood, TX. on March 25, 2016. Survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters, Lisa and Jillian, brother Alan and wife ,Barbra, sisters Joan and husband, Donald, Rosemarie and husband, Paul, grandson Andrew and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Robert, mother, Alice and brothers, James and Jack and son, Steven. Bob worked as a salesman and regional manager for Garlock Oil and Gasket in Benicia, CA where he met his wife of thirty years. They moved to Kingwood in 1994 where he continued to work with Garlock before buying the Kingwood Garden Center in 2006 and running it for nearly a decade, becoming a Master Gardener and retiring in January 2016. An incredibly talented and intelligent man with a stubborn wit, he could make a joke of anything and laugh harder than anyone. Bob enjoyed boating, gardening, nighttime walks with his dog Trixie and most of all his "three girls." Visitation with his family will be 6-8 pm Wed. March 30, 2016 at Darst Funeral Home. Bob's life will be celebrated 11:30 am Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the gardens at Darst Funeral Home followed by the sharing of food and fond memories of Bob, also in the gardens of Darst Funeral Home.
