What a nice man. I just stopped at his house to pick up a putter for my son for Christmas and his neighbor told me he passed. A good decent man that always had time to talk and help. Mr Cecil you will be missed and I thank you for the times you helped me and for the chats we had. God bless you Tom Cecil you will be missed jim Morrison

Tom(boss) as those of us that worked for him adressed him was always there for me through a few rough times,but mainly good times. He introduced me to my wife. On his way to visit his daughter he would always stop for an hour or so to catch up on things. We always stayed in touch. Liz and I will miss those short but special moments.

I have such very fond memories of Tom. He hired me at Sears when I had just graduated from high school. He took me under his wing and was always there to give me fatherly advice when needed. Tom was always there to give suggestions and to offer help and even as my career with Sears took me to another part of the state with my husband, Tom always stayed in touch. When I moved back to the Humble area, I could count on seeing Tom at the Kroger coffee area and many times I would join him and we would visit for an hour or two, just catching up. Tom, thank you for your friendship and support over the last 40 years...

Tom, always had a smile and a kind word for everybody. Loved his golf and was always ready to help you with your game. The world is a sadder place without him. Thanks Tom for being a part of my life !

A tremendous loss of a friend, Tom always had solution to your dilemma, a story that put everything in perspective, or a word of encouragement if he thought you needed it. He was a historian, and some of us that thought we knew how things happened could always get it straight from Tom on what actually took place. He was someone above all, that you could call for an answer to any question. He always answered the call, whether he was at home or at the shop. He was such a tremendous resource. But most of all, he was a kind, thoughtful friend, who will be missed and thought of often by all of us that were his friends. He was one of a kind.
God's speed Tom. We'll see each other again some day.
