I am late in hearing of Mike's passing, however wanted to express how impressed I was with him. He had a genuine heart and an imaginative spirit. He was not one to be bridled by conventionality at all. That expressed itself in so many ways with him. He was a good soul, and I know that his spirit lives on. I look forward to seeing him again one day.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Michael's passing. We grew up together, played together as children. I have such fond memories. To hear about his death is so distressing and painful. He was such a great guy and so sweet. My heart goes out to Mrs. Shurtleff and Chip. Please know that I am praying for you and crying with you.

dear lil although I didn't get to know michael very long, I know he was a loving caring person. I know that his cats will miss him, and although he was soft spoken he said a lot with only a few words. I know that this is hard for you. I wish I was there to help you in your time of need. But know that you are in my prayers and he impacted my life in a small way because he was willing to share his family with me and so many more.

I remember Mike very fondly. I met him, first on the phone, some 7+ years ago when I started working at Cartoon Network. He was always cheerful, creative and a go-to person for so much. Over the years we met in person -- I am based in NYC and he was based in Atlanta. He was very talented and a great personality. The news of his passing is very sad.
