Mr. Hall was my painting instructor at Flagler College, 1976 through 1980.
He was one of the best men I have known.
I benefited from his instruction and friendship.
My dearest sympathies to his family.
His joy of Life, Art, People, and History is how I will fondly remember him.

Dear Gudrun, I just saw this notice when I came across Bob´s card among Lu´s keepsakes.
It´s hard to recall those wonderful days of historic re-enactments with your lovely company and his engaging and informed historical perspectives. A gentleman of many facets and talents, he gave my husband a welcoming niche in their colorful re-enactments in St. Augustine. . I will miss him as i miss you both.

As a founding member of 'RETFOG5', he will be greatly missed. I didn't know Bob well, but knew of him and his St. Augustine early history activities. He certainly seemed to relish his involvement with these histories; and his knowledge of these histories, gave him passion for reenactment. Once in character, his realistic 'edge' was there for all to see. He was a true champion of the City of St. Augustine. He remained involved with the growth of the city and did what he could to ensure that the city always remembered its historical beginnings and significance. His dedication to St. Augustine will be missed. My condolences to family members. Rest in peace, my friend.

Just learned of Bob's passing. I somehow missed his obituary in The Record. I have known Bob and his family since 1975 when I joined the East Florida Rangers contingent of the Historic Florida Militia. We participated in many reenactments together during the observation of the bicentennial of the American Revolutionary War around the southeastern states as well as local events. Recently, over the past year or two, "Don Roberto" has been part of our Monday morning veteran's coffee group at Panera. He always enlivened those meetings. His death is a great loss to the cultural history of St. Augustine. My sincere condolences to Gudrun and Renda. Handly "Corky" Caraway

Bob was a St. Augustine treasure that will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had a true, sincere, and genuine love and concern for the preservation of historic St. Augustine. He was a scholar, a gentleman, and a friend. They just don't make them like this anymore. It is truly the end of era. I am truly lucky to have known him. My deepest sympathy, thoughts, and prayers to Gudren and Renda at this time of great loss.
