I did not know Mrs. Wingard, but her husband Dr. Wingard came into my life in 1986 during the first of several times over the next 25 years that he saved the lives of my parents (Ernestine "Tena" and James "Jack" Floyd.)

Therefore, he and his family have always mean't so much to my family. So, my heart goes out to him and all the family during this difficult time - especially as they go through all the "firsts" without their precious loved one. While you do not know me, you are all in my prayers and I think of you all very often. I pray God's loving arms surround you all with comfort as you are going through these difficult times.

In my experience Dr. Wingard was a man of few words - but every word was memorable and extremely meaningful. He made it known through the years how much his family mean't to him.

Please accept my deepest sympathy and do not hesitate to contact me for anything I could possibly do to help. Because of your family I enjoyed an extra 25 years more with my parents and would do anything to help yours.

The Wingard family will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

Ted,Joe,David,Katherine,
Becky and I are so sorry to her about Gaile! She was always such a genuinely friendly and gracious person. I always enjoyed time spent with her, although they were too few. Thank goodness your dad was able to "convince" her to marry him, as she did a great job keeping him in line, from what I know! I know you will all miss her terribly, but have faith that she has run her race and has taken her place in Heaven with God our father and suffers from nothing any more! God's peace be with you all!
Your cousin,
Ricky Wingard

My first memory of Gaile is going to visit her and Ted after the birth of their son, Joe, at their USC apartment. She was holding their newborn son and looked beautiful. She continued to make her whole life beautiful. I never saw her without a smile. The Wingard family was blessed to have had her become a part of us.

Ted, So sorry to hear about your loss. Sorry Brianna and I didn't know Gaile that well but I do feel I knew her and know she was a big part of your life. I understand she had been going through a tough time but was fighting it every day.Remember that God is with your family and giving you guidance through all of this. Your kids are a great support for you and having them close to you I'm sure gives you comfort. Sorry we can't be there but please know you and your family are in our prayers and know God will be by your side to comfort and protect.
