I spent New Years 2023 witg George in Galveston. We laughed and laughed. George has a GREAT sense of humor, and he got it from Chuck and Ann. Although Chuck was a jokester, Ann had a real wit, and George got the best of both of them. Ann and Chuck hold a special place in my heart.

Dear Chuck, George and the whole Bowes family,

I am very sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you. I think it was Ann who used to say, "You kids, more fun"
to those of us who met Ann through George
back in the 1980's.

I've known the Bowes family my entire life. I'm so lucky. Every one of them is family to me. My mom died in 2000. Ann was the only person in the world who could say, "Michelle!" in the way my mom would when I was saying shocking, vulgar things... loved her for that.

Chuck, George, Tim, and John,
I am so sorry for the loss of Ann who was so sweet, warm and very funny. Went I went to school in Cleveland with George I could not always get home for the holidays to my own parents and the Bowes were my second parents who always took me in. I have fond memories of some Thanksgivings and Christmas at your home in Toledo (and Tim's wedding). I know you both touched many lives as teachers and amassed many friends in retirement travelling the country. Your love for each other and kindness to others set an example of "the Good Life."
