Boyce Wakefield “Bo” Humphries, Jr., age 79, of Cherryville, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his residence. He was born December 25, 1943, in Gaston County to the late Boyce Wakefield Humphries Sr. and Ollie Ava Neill Humphries. Bo enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards. He liked watching sports and listening to WCSL radio.
In addition to his parents, Bo was proceeded in death by his brother, Dennis Wayne Humphries; and sisters, Shirley Humphries Valentine and Rachel Carpenter.
Survivors include his sister, Vivian Young; aunt, Lorene Summey; and nieces and nephews, Michael Humphries (Donna Bowen), Steve Valentine, Denise Valentine, Terry Watts, Kris Greene, Gary Greene, and Linda Yarboro.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Matt Thomas officiating with full Military Honors.
